【摘要】:Theimagelifeofprintedinkjetmediaindarkkeepingconditionsintypicalofficeenvironmentsispertinenttotheenduseofthesematerials.Whilenaturalagingisthemostreliablemethodofassessingimagestability,thelengthoftimerequiredmakesthismethodimpracticalformostmaterials.Asaresult,acceleratedtestsoftenareused.Thistestpracticeisanacceleratedshort-termstoragetestthatsimulateslong-termstoragebutatelevatedtemperatures.Aroomconditionsampleisalsotrackedtoprovidepracticaldata.Bymeasuringthetimeneededtoobtainapredeterminedcolorchangeatavarietyoftemperatureconditions,theimagelifecanbepredictedusingtheArrheniusmethod.Note28212;TheArrheniusmethodisapredictivetestbasedonmathematicalextrapolationofhightemperatureteststoroomtemperature.Inthistest,long-termcolorchangesarepredictedbyperformingshort-termtestsataseriesofhightemperatures.5.1.1Sincetheabilityofaninkjetprinttowithstandcolorchangesisafunctionoftemperatureandhumidity,itisimportantthatdarkstabilitybeassessedundertheconditionsappropriatetotheenduseapplication.Whileinkjetprintsmaybehandledanddisplayedunderavarietyofconditions,thistestpracticeisintendedtoproducethecolorchangesthatmayoccurininkjetprintsupondarkkeepingintypicalofficeenvironments.5.1.2Theacceleratedproceduredescribedinthistestpracticeisintendedtoprovideameansforpredictingthelifeofaninkjetimageunderlaboratoryconditions.Testresultsareusefulforspecificationacceptancebetweenproduceranduser,forqualitycontrol,andforresearchandproductdevelopment.1.1Thispracticedescribesanacceleratedprocedureintendedtopredictthelifetimeofimagesstoredindarkkeepingconditionsintypicalofficeenvironments.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
